Kīkā (guitar)

Heauk Kīkā: (Hawaiian word for guitar) is handcrafted from woods of your choice. Basic model is the Triple O plan. 

The kīkā below is going to be called Ka Papapahonu in honor of the marine sanctuary north of the main Hawaiian Islands. It will be of acacia (koa) back and sides and spruce top. These woods have been drying for 8 years. Time to make it sing! Keep track of it here as the construction develops. Start month is March 2014.


Still under construction as of January 2015. This falls in the category of ATP (As Time Permits)
